Alison at 11 Months

Unbelievable that only one month from today Alison will be ONE!!! She is really started to get into EVERYTHING! I call her Trouble #2 (and Lauren is Trouble #1) because she is always trying to get into all kinds of stuff she shouldn't. She loves to play with the DVD player and open it, and turn it off and turn the volume all the way up or down. She is VERY determined if she wants something, she will try her hardest to get it. She is still such a sweet baby with an easygoing personality (most of the time!), and she loves her big sister and her Mommy & Daddy! Here's what she has been up to the past month:

1. Cruising....she is cruising all over the place! She is good at going between the couch and the ottoman and her favorite place at the pool is the baby pool so she can cruise around the edge, especially since she is too short to sit!

2. Steps...she learned how to crawl up the steps at a friend's house where they have two steps going down into the family room. She has tried a couple of times at our house, but she is not all the interested yet! I am not looking forward to teaching her how to go down the steps on her belly!

3. Popsicles...she loves, loves, loves popsicles. As soon as she sees one, she gets excited and if you don't give it to her, she gets really mad! I think it feels good on her gums, because she will just grab the popsicle and pop it right in her mouth.

4. Baby dolls....oh my goodness does this girl love baby dolls!! She has her baby Violet, but her favorite is Lauren's baby, Victoria. But she will find pretty much any baby doll in the playroom and pick her up and give her a big hug. It's very sweet how loving she is to the baby dolls. And she has to have Violet in her bed for sleeping.

5. 4 top teeth...she now has 4 teeth on the top for a total of 6 teeth now. They are almost big enough that you can see them when she smiles, so cute!!!

6. Lauren's room...she is obsessed with going in Lauren's room. As soon as I put her on the floor in her room, she is out the door and into Lauren's room. She loves to find her baby dolls and play with her little dollhouse and all of Lauren's shoes.

7. Little People stuff...she loves to play with all the Little People stuff. She has figured out how to push some of the buttons and move some of the parts to make noise. We have a little house that has a toilet that makes a flushing sound, and she will crawl over to the house and do the toilet over and over.

8. Dancing...this girl has got some moves! When we were at church on July 4th (service outside), she was sitting on the blanket and she started doing her little twist and then she started getting her shoulders into it. It just cracks me up everytime she dances because it's just so cute!! And she loves to dance to Hannah Montana of course.

9. Basketball....Brad has this basketball hoop in the family room and this weekend, Alison became obsessed with the basketball. The funniest thing is when she picks up the ball and tries to figure out how to dribble it.

10. Food....We have started to give her more table food. So far, she has tried bananas, blueberries, peaches and sweet potatoes. And she loves all of them, but especially bananas and sweet potatoes. I am excited for her to start eating more of the same food we are eating, but I am not sure if I am ready for the mess!!!
