So, I am a little behind on these posts, but Lauren is getting to be such a big girl! She can do so many things for herself and is so independent (which is a good thing most of the time). She is very polite and always sweet to her big sister. She is having some trouble staying in her room all night, but I think she just wants some attention in the middle of the night because she just wants someone to put her back in her bed. She is a joy most days and a challenge others, but she is such a smart, funny, loving girl! And I still cannot believe that she is 3!!!
1.Loving Family Dollhouse...I bought this from a friend and she loves to play with it! It's so fun to see how she plays with all the people. She got the mini-van for her birthday and she loves to drive them around in that.
2. Changing Clothes....she still changes clothes at least three times every day, and every time she changes her clothes, she also changes her panties which makes for a lot of laundry! And sometimes one of the outfits is a bathing suit.
3. Little Tykes Cozy Coupe....I think this could be her favorite Christmas gift. she loves to drive all over the house in it. Hopefully she is not too traumatized when we have to put it outside and hopefully she shares with Alison when she gets a little bigger.
4. Hannah Montana...still completely obsessed! It's so funny to see her dancing and singing to her songs. I think one major reason for her obsession is because Sophie and Emma also like her a lot!
5. Doing crafts....she loves to color, paint, play with play-doh, stamp and cut with scissors (but only with supervision of course!)
6. Alison....she loves, loves, loves her baby sister. It is so cute to see her get so excited to see her every morning and the feeling is mutual because Alison loves to watch her big sister, too.
7. Sunday School....since Lauren is now 3 and potty trained, she is able to go to Sunday School at church instead of to the nursery, and she really loves it. The teachers have all told me that she does a great job listening and following directions and she loves to dance to the music at the beginning. I am so glad she has a great place to learn about God!
8. Ripping off the calendar...I have one of those page a day calendars and Lauren loves to rip the page off as part of her morning routine along with taking her vitamin and her flouride.
9. Wearing skirts....she is definitely in a skirt phase now, the dress phase is over for the moment. The best is when she puts on a polka-dot skirt with her flowered leggings, but she knows that if she wears a skirt she also has to wear either leggings or tights.
10. Sitting in a regular chair...right after Christmas, Lauren just decided that she didn't want to sit in her booster seat at the table anymore, so she sits in a big girl chair, which is fine most of the time, but sometimes she likes to get up several times while she is eating, but we are working on staying in the chair through the whole meal.
11. Books...some of her favorites recently are Eloise, Olivia and Cordouroy
12. Playing dress up..Santa brought her some dress up clothes and she loves to get dressed up in them. Most of the time she likes to get all of clothes off first, but it's so cold in the basement that she has started to put them on over her clothes.
13. Playing Mommy....she loves to be the Mommy (Jessica) and I am Lauren. And sometimes she is Victoria's mommy and I am the Grandma.
14. Daddy's iTouch....she loves to play the monkey game on Daddy's iTouch, which is a little preschool game that teaches colors, shapes, counting etc. She also discovered the "drinking game" where you drink a pretend beer. She thinks it's pretty funny, but she told me that she can only drink pretend beer not real beer. It's amazing how she knows how to scroll through the pages and unlock it!
