Alison's first airplane ride

Alison got to take her first airplane ride about a month ago when we went to Nashville for Uncle Robert's memorial service. (Robert passed away right before Thanksgiving after a long fight with emphazia, COPD and other health problems. He will be missed!) Alison was a super star traveller! We flew Southwest, so it was great both ways because the flights weren't full so I was able to take the carseat on with me, and we got a row to ourselves because no one wants to sit with a baby. Friday night, I was able to go out to dinner with Elizabeth after I put Alison to bed and it was so great to get caught up with her. And Alison even slept through the night her first night at Granddaddy's house!! Saturday, we went to see Elizabeth's new house and she got to meet Alison.

The memorial service was Saturday afternoon, and Alison got to meet Ge-Ge and Uncle Richard and Aunt Nelle. The service was very nice and also very sad. Uncle Robert was truly a kind-hearted man who had a lot of people who loved him.

Sunday, we went to breakfast at Loveless (YUMM!!!) and got to visit some more with the family, which was so great! Our flight was delayed about two hours on Sunday, so we got a little more time to play with Granddaddy and Grandma Connie!
