Merry Christmas 2010!

We had a great Christmas this year and we are so thankful for all of our blessings! It was so great to have a full house this year with Mum Mum and Nana and Papa here to celebrate with us!

Mum Mum arrived on Tuesday, and we even got to pick her up before Lauren went to school so Mum Mum went into school and met Lauren's teacher, Miss Ellen. Nana and Papa arrived on Wednesday afternoon, and our company was all here. Thank goodness the guy was able to come and finish up the drywall on Thursday so there wasn't a big hole in the wall in our guest quarters!

Thursday, the guys went out to do their last minute shopping and Nana and Mum Mum went out to do some last minute shopping as well while Lauren was at school so Alison and I were able to get a few little things done around the house to get ready.

Friday, we went to church for the Christmas Eve service and then we went out to dinner at Botto's. The girls were great, and the food was great as well, it just took a little longer than they could stand, so at the end, I was chasing the girls around the restaurant. They were having such a great time that Alison cried the entire way home. She was ready for bed so Santa could come I guess! Lauren helped me put out reindeer food for the reindeer and then she blew her special whistle so the reindeer would know where to come and then she was off to bed after putting out some cookies and milk for Santa and an apple for the reindeer.

The girls were excited when they woke up to see the gifts from Santa!

Lauren got a new CD player with 2 microphones...she was putting on lots of concerts for us on Christmas day, and she also got a new carrier for her Barbies and a new baby doll.

Alison got a new baby doll that is just like Lauren's baby named Abby, so as soon as she saw the doll, she said "Abby." She was very excited and hugged it immediately!

As soon as we were finished checking out the Santa gifts, Lauren wanted Brad, Alison and I to open the presents that she had picked out for us. Mum Mum and Nana took her to CVS on Thursday to do some shopping for us and she was so proud of the gifts that she picked out. They said she had her mind made up what she wanted to get us as soon as they were on their way! She gave Brad some screwdrivers and duct tape, she gave Alison a little stuffed pig, and she gave me a little make-up bag. So thoughtful and sweet, I will definitely have to take her out for a shopping day next year!

Nana and Mum Mum gave the girls a very special present.... a dollhouse with antique furniture and even decorated for Christmas. It is so cute, with really neat furniture that was all arranged in the rooms. It didn't take long for Lauren to put all the furniture in one room because they were trying to get away from the wicked witch! But I know both of the girls will have a great time playing with it. Nana and Mum Mum were so proud and happy to give it to them.

Lauren was very cute when she went to bed on Christmas night, she gave everyone a hug and said "Good night and thank you for my presents." And I said "Don't forget about Mommy!" And Lauren said "Did you get me any presents Mommy?"
