Trip to Ann Arbor and Wheeling/Pittsburgh!

Well, it has been about two weeks since we made our second long road trip to Michigan, but I haven't had much chance to blog about it!

We left early again on Friday morning, and made it to Ann Arbor in about 10 hours. The girls were great again, but we were definitely glad to get there! We had dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Pizza House! YUM!!! Nana, Papa and Mum Mum were already there when we got there saving us a table. Lauren had so much energy she could barely sit still, but she did eat some of her dinner. As we were getting ready to leave, we saw Braylon Edwards with his HUGE beard, with a couple of other NFL players who were in town for the big re-dedication. Then, we walked over to the diag to watch the end of the pep rally. We got to hear a little bit of Rich Rod's speech and I know everyone is looking forward to a great season!

WE headed back to the hotel, a Holiday Inn Express, and the girls were SO excited by our room. We got one of the Kids Suites, which was super cool (and will be even better when the girls are a little older!) because there was a full size fridge as well as bunk beds. Lauren was thrilled to climb up on the top bunk with her backpack and dump out of all her stuff. And Alison was just happy to climb in and out of all the empty drawers and cabinets. While I put Alison to bed, the rest of the crew headed down to the pool. Brad said it was extra loud because the parents of the other kids in the pool were deaf but I think Laure had a great time!

GAME DAY Saturday and we had breakfast in the lobby and then got organized and headed over to tailgate. It was SO windy, but we still had a great time. Lauren spent the better part of the time in car playing Mum Mum's iPhone, but it was good because she got a little bonding time with everyone. And Alison spent most of her time climbing up and down the cornhole game. Good thing we brought it for her! We had a yummy lunch of wings, shrimp, pasta salad and Michigan cookies. Mum Mum and the girls headed back to the hotel around 12:30 so Ali could get a nap.

The new stadium is pretty incredible and Thank goodness Michigan won and Denard Robinson was INCREDIBLE!!!! It was a perfect temperature until the last part of the game. The girls were happy to see us when we got back.

Sunday, we got up pretty early and got a little later start than anticipated, but we made it to Wheeling around 2! I put Alison right down for a nap and then we had to start getting ourselves ready for the Lady Gaga concert! We were super excited to see Laura, Shannon, Tammy, Adam, Grace and of course the Bissetts!! The baby-sitter arrived around 3:30 and Lauren was super excited to see her and play with her, and they had the best time! Alison was ok when we left, so that was a relief for me!

We took a charter bus to the show with Laura's family and 50 of their closest friends! HA! We arrived before the general public was able to go in, which was pretty cool! We got some dinner and drinks and chilled before the incredible show!!! It was so awesome, she is quite a performer!! And she was giving all kinds of shout outs to her Grandma and even to Laura! We got back to the house around 1:30!

Monday was a long drive back and we were all VERY tired when we got home. It was a early night for all of us, but we had such a great time!!!!
