Lauren has been taking ballet class all year and yesterday we got to see all the dance she has been working on every Wednesday for the past 9 months! She was very excited, and she did such a great job! We were all so proud of her!!!
It was all dance yesterday. She had a dress rehearsal at 10 AM, and it was her first time on the big stage, and she definitely looked nervous up there, but they did pretty well. Then she got her hair done, and then we came home and relaxed for a bit before the show at 5:15. Rebecca came up to go to the show with us, and we were all excited to see her! They did a dance to "My Blue Heaven," by Norah Jones and Fats Domino. All the girls did GREAT for the production, better than rehearsal for sure. (Lauren had one little mishap in the middle when she or another girl got confused about which number they were supposed to stand on!) They all looked beautiful with their make-up and hair, looking like real ballerinas. The finale was a dance to "Shake it Up," which is a song that Lauren knows well and the dance was really cute. I was amazed at how many dancers there were. After the show, Lauren got two bouquets of flowers, and she was so excited about that, and then she picked Applebee's for her celebratory dinner. We saw several other girls at the restaurant who were in the show as well. When she got home, we gave her a ballerina Barbie and a Lemonade Mouth CD.

Alison was very good during the show, she just sat in my lap and she wasn't really sure what to think of all the dancers and the lights and the darkness. She did dance at one point when they were dancing to Rhianna, and then she was making her baby dance.
We are so proud of our little dancer! I think she has found her calling, and it definitely NOT t-ball!!

The video is not great quality because we were not all that close and it was dark in the theater. But Lauren is the fourth dancer from the left.
