Here's what we did in October:
October 1 - Lauren had her Fund Run at school. It was a beautiful day, so we got to be outside this year. Last year was in the gym and didn't quite have the same effect. Lauren did a great job running and getting exercise!
October 4 - Fall Festival at Goshen. We got there not too long after it started and the girls and I were some of the last people to leave! The first thing we did when we got there was the inflatable zip line. And I had to go with Alison. At least three different people said "Hey, I saw you on the zip line!" It was fun, and Lauren loved it! Drew was being very curious and running all over the place, so Brad and Drew left after about an hour. We probably would have left earlier, but we ran into Lauren's BFF Avery around 8:15 and so they had to do a few games together. It was nice to meet her parents. And of course the girls got face painting like the very last thing!
October 8- Alison's school trip to the pumpkin patch. We had a great time!! It was a little chilly and little wet, but the pumpkin patch was very nice and the kids loved climbing on the hay pyramid and running around in the hay. Thank goodness Mum Mum could stay with Drew, I would have been chasing him around the whole time. He got to go for a ride in Mum Mum's car to the park, which was fun for him!

October 10- Lauren had book swap and she was nice enough to get a book for her brother and sister as well as herself!
October 11- Lauren cheered at halftime at the Oldham County football game. She did a good job, but she got a little cold at the end. She said she liked the dance the best.
October 12- Alison and Aunt Anne went to the "The House at Pooh Corner" and Mum Mum, Lauren and I went to the American Girl Fashion Show.
October 13- Brad and I ran 10 miles in Cherokee Park. Boy, that was hard!!!
October 17- Lauren finally lost her second tooth, and she saved it to take to school so she could get a tooth necklace.
October 19-I went to Columbus for a girls weekend, and Mum Mum kept the kids and Christian came over for a visit! All of us had a great time (especially me, it was so good to see my girls!!!)
October 20- Boo at the Zoo with Uncle Charlie and Aunt Anne since Daddy was in Dubai. The kids had a BLAST!!! They had so many characters that the girls recognized, and all kinds of little props set up, it was perfect. And the weather was GORGEOUS!!! So thankfully Anne and Charlie could enjoy it with us. And since Drew didn't really want to ride in the wagon, it was great to have the extra eyes! (and Drew was not having any of the costume!!)
October 23- we went to Nashville for a couple of days. We were able to see GeGe, Elizabeth and the boys and Granddaddy and Grandma Connie of course. We went to church on Wednesday night and the girls made a new best friend!
We came home for one night and met Daddy and then we headed to Chicago for the weekend for family photos!!
The kids had a blast with their cousins, and Drew was so in love with their new puppy Pixie! He was chasing her all around the living room and always saying "Where doggie go?"
The girls were so cute, they put on a show for us. It was titled "Two Queens and A Princess." They had a script and blackouts (aka intermissions) for costume changes. It was hysterical, and totally reminded me of the shows I used to direct with my cousins. Annabelle got a little frustrated towards the end because Drew was trying to get in there, but soon enough I am sure they will realize they can include him in their productions!
The family pictures were good, but kind of cold. The ones I have seen so far are spectacular!!!
October 30 - Trunk or Treat at church, what a fun night! The weather was perfect and the kids had the best time seeing their friends all dressed up and getting candy of course. I think Drew had at least three lollipops!
October 31- Alison's halloween party at school
November 1- Trick or treating since it was very windy and threat of tornadoes on Halloween. Drew FINALLY put on a costume, hooray!!!
