Alison's birthday and first day of preschool

Alison has been 4 for almost a month, so I figured I should blog about it!  We celebrated her birthday for about 2 weeks, so there's a lot to say!

The first celebration was a family party at Anne and Charlie's pool, which was super fun!

Especially since Alison earned the nickname Alifishous!!  Well-deserved..she just jumps in and swims all over the place.  It's pretty amazing to watch.  The funniest thing is that she gets in the water and just kicks with her legs and when you remind her to use her arms, it throws her off.  She had the best time sitting on the boogie board with Christian pushing her around so she could shoot everyone with the water gun.   Uncle Bob and Aunt Glen came from Frankfort, Uncle David, Aunt Blair, Granddaddy and Grandma Connie came up from Nashville, so we had a great celebration.  We had pizza and ice cream cake from DQ.  YUM!!  She was so cute opening her presents because she was so excited about each one.  When we got home after the party, she went up to introduce her big Mickey to her big Minnie, then she put on her new Rapunzel PJs and organized her new bedside table that Mum Mum refinished for her.

On her actual birthday, we kinda bummed around all day and then we went to Red Robin for dinner (a Scheiner tradition!)  All the kids were kinda tired, but it was good.  And when they started singing Happy Birthday to her, she wasn't quite sure what to do!!

Alison finally had her first friend birthday party at Build-A-Bear about a week and a half after her birthday.  She was so excited!!!  She had been talking about having a build-a-bear party for at least 6 months.  And it worked out perfectly because every person but one that she invited was able to come!  She picked out the special princess bear since it was her birthday and she waited patiently while everyone made their bear.  The funniest thing was when Morgan our neighbor came, Lauren immediately said "Let's go shopping!"  So off they went to explore the store and pick out all sorts of treasures for their yet to be made bears!  It was hysterical!  After all the kids made their bears, we walked over to 32 degrees for some yogurt, which was great!!

I can't believe my sweet little Alison is 4!  She loves princesses, chocolate, brown-eyed baby, her sister, Sofia the First, playing outside, coloring, and being fancy.   One of her favorite outfits is a tank top, a pair of leggings, a skirt and a cardigan with some sort of hair accessory and several necklaces.  She loves her family, especially her big sister!  She still sucks her thumb and twists her hair when she is tired or nervous.  And watching her sing and dance is great.  She was a very enthusiastic singer and dancer at music camp.

And today was her first day of preschool!  She is going to St John's again this year 4 days!  She is very excited about school, and her friend Kayla from last year is in her class again this year.  Her teacher is Ms Joy, who is great!  I asked her a couple of questions this morning, and the funniest answers were that she wants to be Rapunzel when she grows up, and her favorite thing about herself is her beautiful clothes.  She is pretty funny!!
