Happy 5th Birthday to my first-born Lauren! You are becoming such a big girl. You are smart, funny, thoughtful, and you challenge me everyday! We spent almost all day in the car on the way home from Michigan. Thank goodness for the Leap Pad we gave you for your birthday, it kept you very occupied all the way home. The morning started with a doughnut from Dunkin' Donuts in the hotel room as well as a few gifts. Then, we hit the road and at each stop, you got another gift. you loved the Snoopy PJs as well, as I knew you would!

Yesterday, we had a a birthday party for Lauren at the Little Gym. She and about 16 of her friends played, then had pizza and cake. Alison was a little overwhelmed with all the big kids I think, and Drew was passed around the whole time because he was pretty fussy! I was very impressed with the Little Gym, they did so many different activities and they really made Lauren feel special. It was cute to see her with all her friends. She invited two boys from her class, Michael and Ethan, and both of them seem to be pretty quiet, but their parents both said that Michael and Ethan talk about her at home just like she does about them! It's pretty cute! And Julia and Ashlin both made sure to be sitting next to her when they had pizza and cake.
