We did some major apple picking this week, so tomorrow I will be making some apple sauce and an apple crisp! YUM!

Alison and I went with her playgroup on Wednesday, and she had a great time picking apples, tasting apple cider and being with her friends! We went to Hill Creek Farms, a really cute little farm not too far from here and they had lots of apple trees and a great shop. I think Alison had about 5 little cups of cider, so I bought some for us to enjoy at home too. She was a great little apple picker and she even wanted to carry the basket herself even though it was pretty heavy. After a little bit, we ended up carrying it together, which was better for both of us.

Then, today, they had their family fun fest so we headed over after church! It was very busy, but we had a good time even though it was over 80 degrees out! We did a hayride around the orchard, then we tried some more cider (I was surprised that Lauren even liked it!), picked some more apples, and then Lauren got her face painted. The lady did a really cool cat on her face, but I think it was itchy because she wiped it almost all the way off by the time we got home. But it looked really great. They had several people dressed up as animals (boy, they must have been hot!), and Lauren had to make sure and say hello to each and every one of them. The favorite of the both the girls was the pig. They were very excited to say hello to him after the hayride when we went to get our apple picking baskets.
