So, as usual, I am about a month behind, but I wanted to make sure and blog about Mum Mum's visit in June.  She arrived on Tuesday morning, and she and Lauren started getting everything ready for their tea party on Wednesday.  Mum Mum decided she wanted to meet some of Lauren's friends, so she asked if she could host a tea party for Lauren and her friends.  Lauren was SO excited!  She had a great time making the invitations to send to her friends and she picked out her outfit about 2 weeks in advance.  So, Lauren and Mum Mum spent almost the entire afternoon making cookies and doing some crafting for decorations.  Lauren was so into, and had a great time helping and of course washing dishes and sampling the cookies!

Wednesday morning, we did a few more things to get ready like set the table and make placecards.  All the guests arrived at 1:30 and we did a craft and played a game and read Tea for Ruby down in the basement.  Then Mum Mum came up and got all the food and drinks ready and the girls came up and found their seats and we served them some fruit, cheese and crackers and cookies.  They were all very polite and used their manners while they ate their snacks.  Then, they decided the play dress up and each one of them put on a costume so they could go trick or treating.  Emily as Cinderella, Jenna as a pirate, Lauren as Minnie Mouse rockstar, Ashlin as a princess, Carina as Tinkerbell and Julia as Fancy Nancy.  I think everyone had a great time, and it was so fun to see them all interacting together!

Wednesday night, Rebecca came up and we had dinner and then did a fashion show to decide what to wear for Uncle David's wedding.

Thursday, we headed to Ocean City to go to the beach.  It was  perfect day because it was warm, but overcast so not too hot.  The girls had a great time digging in the sand and Alison was loving the water until she got knocked over by a wave!  Alison was literally covered head to toe in sand, but she had a great time digging, sometimes filling the entire bucket with her bare hands!  Lauren got really freaked out by the seagulls while we were eating lunch.  They are definitely not shy about trying to take your food right out of your hand!  Whenever Alison would see a seagull, she would say "SHOO!!!!"  After we ate lunch and changed clothes, we headed to the boardwalk and went to Pirate's Cove to do a few rides.  Lauren and Rebecca got on the ferris wheel, and then Alison & I got on the train.  When Lauren saw us on the train, she FREAKED OUT!  She was super tired, but we got off and then we all 5 rode the train and then had some ice cream and it was time to go!  The girls did great, and it was fun to see them at the beach!  We came home and Rebecca left, but turned around and came back because of the storm so she had pizza with us for dinner and then headed to DC.

Friday, the girls, Mum Mum and I went to pick blueberries in the morning.  We picked about 4 pounds of blueberries and probably ate about a pound in the process of picking! Both girls did a great job picking and Alison actually got some in her bucket this times...she didn't eat all the ones she picked like she did with the strawberries.  We also bought some sour cherries; we opted not to pick them since it would have required someone climbing up on a ladder to get them!  When we got home, I headed out to pick Brad up and head to my ultrasound while Mum Mum kept the girls.  She and Lauren did a lot of crafting and Mum Mum made a yummy cherry and blueberry pie.

Saturday, Lauren went to a birthday party and then in the afternoon, we headed to the pool and saw Emily and Olivia.  They had a great time playing in the pool.

Mum Mum left early Sunday morning, but we all had a great time with her!  It was a busy week!
