Me and my girls in front of the capital

The girls and I went down to DC on Monday to visit Rebecca.  It was a pretty nice day, and we went to Rebecca's and had a yummy lunch (Rebecca is such a good cook!), and then we headed to the Metro station to take a train to the mall.  The girls were great in the stroller on the train, and Alison kept saying "Train, choo choo!"  She was pretty excited on the train.  We got down to the mall, and it was pretty crowded with people, but it was a perfect day to walk around!  We all went for a ride on the carousel, which Lauren loved.  Alison was ok at first, and she was really excited when she got on, but about halfway through she started freaking out, so I had to hold her for the last half of the ride.  Lauren sat in this little car that had a thing in the middle that made the car turn around.  Thankfully neither her or Rebecca got sick from all the turning!  We walked around a little bit and saw the capital and the Washington Monument.  The girls were both having a great time walking and holding hands with Rebecca, it was very cute.  Alison kept saying "Becca, Becca!"  She was not so sure when we first got to her place, but when we got in the car to head home, she was confused why Rebecca didn't get in the car too!  It was a great visit, and we are looking forward to our next visit in a month to celebrate Rebecca's PhD graduation!!  Woo Hoo!!
