So, about a month late, but I wanted to make sure to get this post done because 5 was a big year for Alison. We had a family party for her the weekend before her birthday with Anne and Charlie and Bob and Glen. She got some new Frozen sheets and some earrings for her pierced ears to come! I made an ice cream sandwich cake, which was a hit! Everyone loved it!
On her actual birthday, she got to open a couple presents in the morning, and then we went to get her very own library card, then to the candy store. That evening before dinner, we went to the mall and she got her ears pierced! She was so brave, and they even had to do it one ear at a time. (she first picked the pink rhinestones that were $65, but her second choice was some cute pink hearts.) For dinner, we went to Red Robin (of course!).
Nana and Papa came for the weekend, so we had a great time celebrating with them as well and then she had her birthday party with her friends at All about Kids, which was a great time! It was fun to see all the kids bouncing and jumping around. I ordered an Elsa cake from this allergen free bakery, her first cake that wasn't made at home since her first birthday, which was pretty exciting, and all the kids loved it.
5 is a big year...new library card, pierced ears and now she can't wait to have a sleepover with her friend Avery, but we shall see about that one!
Her favorite things at age 5: Frozen, chocolate, coloring in her smash book, playing with Lauren and Drew, playing outside, wearing crazy outfits including a bikini top with almost everything. She is such a sweet girl and we are so blessed to have her in our family!
