Roommates

So, Christmas night, we took the plunge and put the girls in the same room together.  They got new sheets and comforters for Christmas, so we made their beds and got them all situated.   Alison actually took a nap in there as well, and it was fine.  Bedtime was a different story....

You would never have known it was bedtime, they were out of the room running all around and creating all sorts of havoc!

So far, it has been about three weeks since they started sharing a room.  Here's a list of the things they have done while they are supposed to be sleeping:

1. Alison burned her finger on the lightbulb in the lamp
2. Alison took off all of her clothes, including her diaper three times in an hour
3. They put all the books in Alison's bed
4. The got out all the jewelry and put it all over the floor
5. Alison put on her tutu
6. They took every single article of clothing out of the dresser, every book off the bookshelf, every headband and every bow and put them all over the floor because they were having a "New Year's Eve party."
7. Alison climbed up on top of the dresser

8. They call each other "stupid beagle" (Thank you, Charlie Brown!)

Fun times!  I am so glad they have fun together, but I am looking forward to when the novelty of sharing a room wears off and they actually get some sleep.  They haven't fallen asleep before 10:00 in the last two weeks.....Lauren can handle not having so much sleep, but Alison is SO ready for her nap every day.  At least she is still napping!  The one time she didn't nap and we put her to bed before Lauren, Lauren woke her up after she went to bed.

It is starting to get better, this week so far, they have been asleep before 9:30, which is a definite improvement over 10 or 11!!
